Watched the first 2 eps of @mikeflanaganfilm.com's CARRIE and I love it so much. I had high expectations, but this exceeds them. Already, it's made me want this to expand in all directions. (I wonder if Amazon has the rights to FIRESTARTER, because I could see this world including Charlie McGee.)

Loved FIRST CHANCE, the excellent first solo novel by @kaseylansdale.bsky.social It's got plenty of Lansdale DNA and feels like it sits comfortably in the same world as Hap and Leonard, but it's also got an identity all its own. On Nov. 9 I'll be at Belmont Books to interrogate Kasey. Can't wait!

Hear me out. All police misconduct cases paid out of police pension funds. Because as a citizen I'm really sick of public funds being used to pay these AND having to worry about a cop doing something shitty to me because they have no accountability.

If you haven't read CARRY ME TO MY GRAVE, I hope you'll rectify that this month. It may not take place on Halloween, but for me, it FEELS so much like Halloween feels to me. It's also the only novel I've written that feels like exactly the book I set out to write. Do you have your copy yet?
