Do like this photo from LICAF that Peter Dyde sent me because makes it look like - a) i have a queue of punters at my table. and b) I have gone on strike and am not serving them until my grievances have been met.

I caught a couple of recent-ish Marvel movies because they were cheap on prime and I wanted to see something shiny. I wasn't sure if they were just badly constructed, or whether the bits that didn't work for me were located and developed elsewhere..

Seems to be a flurry of 'artists needed' posts on Instagram at the moment, so I've responded to a few. Might not go for this one though. They're probably looking for art that makes people feel, y'know... better.

Starting to gnaw my fingernails/get excited about this:

Sketchbook

Gorgeous spooky nonsense gifted me for my birthday by sister Jo. She knows me so well.

Lovely to hear from Holly T Burrows at The Cartoon Museum that my scribbly picture of the place has been turned into a postcard and a fridge magnet and they've been selling well. Might even get royalties. Well worth a visit to the shop, a lot of treasure there unavailable anywhere else.

We're told that China and the US are in a kind of arms race to create the first real self aware AI, and that whoever gets there first will have some massive advantage, but if either of them realise this goal, would the resulting entity actually consider itself 'American' or 'Chinese'? Why?

And of course you will spend a day looking for a lost debit card and you will finally give up and report it lost/stolen to the bank and then you will almost immediately find the thing under the bed. For this is the way of things, and will forever be so.

My poster for the next Gosh/Broken Frontier Drink and Draw on September 25th, with very special guests Daisy Crouch and Roman Muradov. Hope to see some of you there.

New through the door and hot off the presses. 'Drunk and Drawn', an art zine of posters I'll have on the table for LICAF and such It's very pretty, but I forgot to include the "thanks" box in the credits so I feel like a bit of a heel.
