@tracedthurman.bsky.socialHappens to the best of us! But yeah lol. It’s Kings first novel!
@tracedthurman.bsky.socialOh shit. Already sold out lol. I appreciate you, though!
@tracedthurman.bsky.socialOmg YES 😍
@tracedthurman.bsky.socialFWIW: the 2002 NBC miniseries of Carrie did the same thing, and it’s because the book is written in an epistolary format (via news reports, interviews, etc.) so using that narrative structure is actually closer to King’s novel than De Palma’s film.
@tracedthurman.bsky.socialThey did the same thing with Split! It was a secret screening at Fantastic Fest in September 2016 before it opened theatrically in January 2017.
@tracedthurman.bsky.socialNah man, I love the cheese too! I love getting a vegan pizza with the creamy non-cheese lol.
@tracedthurman.bsky.socialI'm not even vegan and I LOVE vegan "meat." 😂
@tracedthurman.bsky.socialFALL 2 is pretty dumb, and while there are a few fun enough set pieces, it's all kinda boring? Meh. Wish it would have leaned into that stupidity a little bit harder.
@hauntedmeg.bsky.socialReposted by @tracedthurman.bsky.socialAs someone who's been an obsessed Resident Evil nerd since the '96 og and platinumed Requiem with a quickness, the first 30 minutes of Zach Cregger's RE nails the core gameplay and progression. He gets it, and I can't wait to see the rest.
@tracedthurman.bsky.socialOh yeah. It's kinda-sorta a Biblical allegory of Adam/Eve and Cain/Abel, but Eve is eeeeeeeeeevil.
@tracedthurman.bsky.social#EastOfEden was a book I had to read my senior year of high school. I wasn't really looking forward to reading it (it's really long!), but it wound up being one of my favorite books that I read for school. Cannot WAIT to see Florence Pugh's take on Cathy Ames, one of literature's best villainesses.
@tracedthurman.bsky.socialTHAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I SAID
@tracedthurman.bsky.socialFALL is fine! I’d like it more if it weren’t 47 METERS DOWN with: • Depths swapped out for heights • Recently ex boyfriend swapped out for recently dead husband • Sharks swapped out for vultures • The bends swapped out for delirium They sure did wanna keep that third act twist, though, huh?
