Lizard of the day: Crocodile monitor! One of the largest monitor lizard species, rivaling Komodo dragons in body length! A New Guinean species that inhabit swamps and forests. They feed opportunistically on birds, small mammals, eggs, reptiles, amphibians and carrion!

Lizard of the day: Orange-lipped forest lizard! An Indian species from a monotypic genus! They're green and have orange lines surrounding their lips, hence their name. They're similar to lizards from the Calote genus, but these have a smaller tympanum. They're sadly endangered.

Lizard of the day: Horvath's rock lizard! An European species! They're more widely distributed across the continent than other similar species. They inhabit forests, shrublands and rocky areas. They're very agile and even leap into the air to catch prey!

That is a very angry creature, how to make it calm down?

Ivel would be fine with any traditional weapon, Kremor would get creative and he'd set up Looney Tunes ahh traps with anything he finds, while Ikelos would simply run away with a shield over his head ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

He will growl and rumble happily and wag his tail and maybe pounce on you and lick you. That or he'll nibble your hand if he's nibbly.

Y'all better not have gay-o-meters near me. They'll combust spontaneously

Writing it is taking all my blood sweat and tears broski I've developed his species more than him himself. Main idea I have is him being a blacksmith but I'm still developing his backstory and changing stuff 24/7

Lizard of the day: Top End dwarf skink! I keep picking the species with the least info available for them but they should be able to be on the spotlight too! They're Australian and live in forests. They're also some of the tiniest skinks in the world!

@ivelleviathan.bsky.socialOct 7, 2026, 4:05 PM

Lizard of the day: Modest whorltail iguana! They're pretty fine gentlelizards, if you ask me. A Peruvian species featuring a cool black and green coloration! They inhabit coastal arid areas. They're sadly endangered due to habitat loss.

@ivelleviathan.bsky.socialOct 6, 2026, 12:35 PM

Lizard of the day: Tessellated gecko! An Australian terrestrial species! Their body colours are varied from pale greys to rich reds with highly variable patterns! During the day, they may be found resting hidden in burrows and cracks. They emerge at night to feed on insects!

Lizard of the day: Tasmanian tree skink! An Australian species not only native to Tasmania, but also some islands in the Bass Strait. They feature a bronze coloration and are pretty agile, allowing them to scurry around in all sorts of habitats. They're viviparous!
