JENNIFER WHITE will use Raman Spectroscopy to identify microplastics in Florida’s stormwater systems & trace how pollutants move into bat populations, helping to establish bats as bioindicators & producing empirical data linking stormwater infrastructure to wildlife exposure to contaminants.

IZABELLE JAQUET will develop & refine a region-specific methodology for determining bat sex from guano as part of the Illinois Natural History Survey. Her work will unlock answers to key questions about cave community dynamics, artificial roost usage, & the identification of maternal roosts.

there's always going to be people who take advantage of chaotic situations. there'll always be scammers on multiple ends. the point remains that money sent directly to individuals is more helpful than money sent to aid organizations that aren't even in the fucking area
