All Music Music Music... Criminally ignored...
@jackabouting.bsky.socialHer latest album Confession is also such a great album. One of the best of the year. She deserves to be more widely known
@nzmolecules.bsky.socialReposted by @jackabouting.bsky.socialThis week I'm listening to albums beginning with C:
Carla dal Forno - Come Around

Sparse & evocative music. I love her detached delivery over minimal yet engaging music. Don't know why it works but it does
@jackabouting.bsky.socialRevisiting this great album that was released in January. Still sounding great. Bristol band Langkamer with a 90s indie rock/alt-country/americana hybrid made with Pavement soundman Remko Schouten at his Zarzalico studios in Murcia, Spain.
@jackabouting.bsky.socialGreat choice. Faris out of the Horrors. #mwxs
@jackabouting.bsky.socialThanks William #mwxs

@jackabouting.bsky.socialDark, brooding minimalist synth & bass-heavy, what's not to love...
Apart from the whole Beth Orton album this is my song of the year...

@jackabouting.bsky.socialReally enjoyed Carla Dal Forno live last week. She was excellent. Sadly no videos of her uk dates on YouTube
Here is the fantastic 'Going Out' in session for PBS Studio 5 live in Melbourne
She is described as Post Punk, electro pop. Hopefully it floats some of your boats
@jackabouting.bsky.socialIt was a great, indeed peak era for North American indie rock in the mid noughties with them, Spoon, My Morning Jacket, Wolf Parade, Interpol, Arcade Fire, Destroyer. Superb.
@jackabouting.bsky.socialIt's a magnificent album, as are The Stage Names and The Stand Ins that came next. Saw them live in 2007. Fabulous.
@jackabouting.bsky.socialA masterpiece. I loved her last one too.
@jackabouting.bsky.socialAnd she was fab...
