This needs to be shown around at VO workshops as an example of how committing to a role matters more rhan the size of the role. I would GUARANTEE YOU that just as many if not more people are talking about this guy and the actor right now despite not being a major protag/antag. FOCUS ON THE ACTING

Trans voice actresses of color (Black, Asian/Pacific Islander, Indigenous, Latina, SWANA), I wanna know how many of y’all are on BlueSky! If any of you know any BIPOC trans actresses, feel free to share recommendations as well!🏳️‍⚧️✨

i used to hesitate addressing mat's trans-ness because i was worried about the backlash of having a trans male protagonist in a gay/BL story. but then i realized i don't ever want to cultivate an audience that hates trans people, hates me, and would hate my work. trans rights forever.

Art of my trans male character Mat shirtless in the background slightly faded with his back turned as he looks to the side solemnly in thought. In the foreground Mat is his kid pre transition princess self while his knight Emil hugs him and Mat cries with wide scared and sad eyes.Art of my trans male character Mat older and fully transitioned as he kneels and takes the hand of his kid pre transition princess self and kisses it gently. The piece is about self love and acceptance of his younger self. Instead of ignoring that part of him ever existed, he embraces where he came from and what it took to get to where he is now.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't actually have to take every opportunity that lands at your feet. You can say no, and still have as much of a career as you would otherwise. No matter what business you're in.
