He did not deny, after a question from the BBC, that Reform's five-year halt to all asylum claims and the reversing of approvals, would see children sent back to Palestine and Afghanistan, which is nice.

Well, Nigel Farage has just done his press conference and it turns out he still isn't keen on immigration and would still like it to stop. Very much felt like he was talking mainly to voters who have peeled off to Restore Britain.

They are also out claiming that Reform's plan to ban all asylum claims for five years and throw out thousands already granted leave to stay is actually their plan which Farage has nicked.

Whoever gets the owl candlestick, offspring or not, is throwing it straight in the bin, making the handwringing largely immaterial.

But do they deliver Hope, James. Hope is important.

Reform's plan to halt the asylum system for five years that is being much reported today does look awfully like the plan to halt the asylum system for five years they unveiled in April www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I don’t like to be a BBC basher but Stephen Warnock praising Man City’s transfer strategy during today’s game on 5Live as if they weren’t absolute pariahs was like something from a different dimension.

I don’t get how this is a ‘deal’. Would you like us to relax our sanctions? Yes please…err, deal!

Conceding defeat in “close second” means it can’t be that close.

Not a surprise to see him standing up for Jenrick and Braverman, as a former Tory himself.

I get the appeal of nostalgia, I really do, but I find it specifically funny to get a leaflet from Reform's candidate talking about how when he was in the Met 31 years ago, he would never have dreamed of lawlessness like the kind we now see in Kings Cross.

Politician, clear thyself

Today's grimness was Reform's Richard Tice declining several opportunities to say that he believed Badenoch was English, on Times Radio

Long tribute from Kemi Badenoch in her conference speech to Jeffrey Archer, complete with round of applause. The world is a "less colourful" place without him, she says, which is one way to describe a serial fraudster, fantasist and liar who wrecked several lives in the process.
