It's that time of year where @hellbentforletterbox.com gets a little scary! In this episode we are joined by fellow @crestwoodhouse.bsky.social host @shawnrobare.com to talk about 2016's Brimstone starring Guy Pearce and Dakota Fanning. Saddle up!
This is so rad
The boys take a detour to the old west today to discuss the ultra nihilistic Brimstone from 2016!
Watching The Abominable Snowman (1957) before listening to the @crestwoodhouse.bsky.social podcast episode - #81 #100HorrorMoviesin92Days
Finally feeling some fall weather this week? Well how about we turn down the temp to below freezing as co-host @shawnrobare.com leads @paxholley.com & @michaelmay.bsky.social on an expedition to find The Abominable Snowman, the 1957 Hammer cryptid classic!
Lol
Is your Wednesday ghoulish enough for you? No? Well how about a brand new episode of the Crestwood House!
This week co-host @paxholley.com introduces @michaelmay.bsky.social & @shawnrobare.com to Hammer’s Twins of Evil from 1971!
👇🏻 Broke out the fancy kid’s book for tonight’s @crestwoodhouse.bsky.social recording with @paxholley.com & @michaelmay.bsky.social…
No new episode this week as we prepare next season BUT that’s a great opportunity to catch up on great episodes from previous seasons! Like OFFICE KILLER with @paxholley.com of @crestwoodhouse.bsky.social ! (Also this is the time to def be listening to Crestwood!)
Gearing up for recording tonight. Did you know that Crestwood House Monster books had a third series that tackled more modern horror (to the 80s/90s), which included a book all about The Amityville Horror?!
Strap in for the next episode my friend…
Rad!
Ghoul Afternoon listeners, and prepare yourself as Crestwood House drops the Hammer…on Hammer Horror as co-host @michaelmay.bsky.social takes a moonlit stroll in the graveyard with @paxholley.com & @shawnrobare.com to discuss The Vampire Lovers from 1970!
That book is great!
Good podcasting always leads to new frontiers. I was inspired to read Milicent Patrick bio, something I’ve been meaning to do for years. And it may be a great way to prepare for the Horror exhibit at the academy museum next month!
He soooo great
Nice!
I agree with @michaelmay.bsky.social that this is a 5 star film. I love everything about it. Gillman is my favorite Universal monster and just below Godzilla in my overall monster ranking. Movie is probably a top 10 all timer for me. 50s aesthetic is the best imo @shawnrobare.com @paxholley.com
I'm so happy @shawnrobare.com picked this one to talk about. It's one of my favorite movies, period, and we had a great conversation about it. I even opened up a little about my unhealthy crush on bad boy Mark Williams.
