Day 13 theme: OC as a recently played/watched movie/game character

Noxid suggested Rivals of AEther and picked forsburn :3
Might try learning him :>

The first time I saw a Forsburn taunt I thought:
WTF 3 CLONES?! Oh it's a taunt lol

Day 10 theme: Sparkly

Be your best friend :3

Experimenting more with sketch to pixelart flow

Found out filter can be masked and erased partly!

Funnily had Léon look at the camera first but looked menacing and was completely wrong vibe so made him look at Tuna.

The grapes are pretty I hope you're not as harsh on your art as you used to be back then 💙

@scruffybrush.itch.io Oct 11, 2026, 3:36 AM

If you look at the grapes you can tell that they're grapes :)

Lost (Day 7) Speedpaint that inspired the workflow I reused on day 8 (tho forgot to post this one apparently!?) Friends did some really sick takes on physically lost/imminent doom and so wanted a different spin on mentally lost/despaired. Drew Todd randomly For some reason my goto for sad art

Todd the fox sitting on the floor, dishelved and despaired

[Flashing Warning at the end]
#Timelapse of the above

Basically the trick is I sketch on a high res (3kx3k) layer (Sketch in reply)
BUT

Always have 2 extra filter layers on top active:
- Pixellize (10x)
- Index Colors

To crunch it down to a low value count sketch I can then recolor after

Day 8 : Scarf
50m speedpaint

Testing a really fun idea I had and enjoy so far to massively speed up how quick I can throw together a pixel sketch

Explainin it + timelapse in thread
Feels like cheating I love it :3

Esxcavatober Day 7: Lost

I'd recently seen The Backrooms movie, and I couldn't resist noclipping my plushsona into that classic maze.

It's the classic backrooms image, but with a plush ermine peeking around a corner in the background

Sometimes, even being macro doesn't help when everything's really cloudy and foggy.

Played with a lot of the wet acrylic brush, with lining used for the construction only. I like how it turned out! Also drew Atlas after a looong while!

A 2d painting of a giant bearded wolf, Atlas, walking through a thick fog, hands over his eyes as he tries to see further on. Behind him is a trail of fog slowly remerging from being cleared as he walked through it.

Atlas is my character.

It's a super scary ghost!! No, wait, its a familiar ermine hidden under a sheet, with black eyes drawn on and ears poking out. She's on a brickstreet with a sidewalk and red brick wall visible in the background

In other news, finally finished my fursona's ref sheet! At least for now until I decide to add clothes, but this will work. :D First time doing a ref, so I was learning as I go, but I'm happy with how it turned out ^^

A 2D Reference of Counterpart, my character.

Raccoon
Height 5'8"
Weight 155 lbs

There is a Front Pose, a Side Pose, and a Maw Shot (still learning those <_<;)

Day 5: Halloween Monster

So, apparently bats are Halloween Monsters if the sites I found are anything to go by :v

So decided to focus on a spooky setting dramatizing my roommate coming home :v

Also I guess this is macro? Or at least size difference, oops.

Day 6 of Excavatober: Halloween Monster

Counterpart, my fursona, is shining a flashlight ahead. Behind him emerging from the darkness is a giant bat, Dusk, about to grab him.

Dusk belongs to Dusk Batterson, who doesn't have socials.
