More than 500 young people mentored, 300 scholarships awarded, and 100 college graduates. That’s the record of 100 Black Men of the Virginia Peninsula. Glad to join them for breakfast in Newport News and celebrate the work they’re doing to open doors for young people across our community.

This bill will expand training and career opportunities to address the direct care worker shortage. Every American deserves to live with dignity. That means investing in the workers who make it possible.

I strongly support Ukraine and efforts to hold Vladimir Putin accountable for his brutal war. But I cannot support legislation that uses support for Ukraine as leverage to give Donald Trump even more authority to impose his reckless tariffs and trade wars that raise prices on American families.
