I think that if millennials/gen Z work together we can drive HOAs to the breaking point

Kyle
My HOA once charged me $75 because my trash can was visible from the street for approximately six minutes. So now I use the anonymous form on their website to report myself for having grass that's too long. Sandra has to walk all the way over with a ruler and measure it once a week. It's important to stay involved in your community.

ICYMI Quartz Storm is available now in paperback, ebook and kindle unlimited. Boosts gratefully received!

Quartz Storm book cover. Words can't do this stunning art justice, but I'll try!

The colour scheme is a dark turquoise, black, and gold. The background is a mottled turquoise, fading to black at the edges. Quartz Storm is in large gold ornate letters with a stylised tree wrapped about its letters. A campfire is at the base of the tree, with fungi and daggers to either side. The tree roots and branches intertwine about the daggers to meet about half way up the illustration. Ornate gold corners and a border, along with further turquoise detailing surrounds the book edges.

At the top is written the author name, LE Draig, and at the base, book one of the Quartz Storm series

Around the book are curly arrows with the phrases: queer characters; rebellion; save the sister, save the world; reluctant heroine; epic fantasy adventure; overthrow the patriarchy!

Spending the day post book launch spring cleaning my desk area in preparation for edits on book 2. This is my least favourite thing - I just wanna get back to writing!

Look what my lovely husband got me as a book launch present - a customised necklace themed around Quartz Storm!

(Maria is a super talented artist and I hugely recommend her)

A gorgeous silver necklace with a triangular rutile quartz pendant in a box against the backdrop of a Maria Alicia jewellery bag and the Quartz Storm book. There's a handwritten card which explains the design: 'Quartz Storm's Handcrafted pregnant with tornado inspired rutile quartz. Copper toned gold leaves, yellow diamond and 9ct gold and silver. Bark engraved and sword prong details.

Had a lovely photo sent by some friends who received their Quartz Storm pre-order early. They (understandably) don't want pics in their PJs shared across social media, so instead please accept my skilful artistic rendition of the happy moment.

Two stick figures with big smiles and red love hearts appear above them. Between them is a copy of Quartz Storm, which appears as the usual realistic cover in turquoise black and gold

Finally, if you want the ebook, it's only available at Amazon for now, but here's the good news…

And of course libraries can also order Quartz Storm, either in paperback or in ebook (a library order is probably my favourite option because it means more people can read it for free!)

@ledraig.bsky.social Oct 7, 2026, 8:01 AM

Quartz Storm is also available from Waterstones etc (online, unless you order it in) and your local indie bookshops should be able to order Quartz Storm in for you - point them in my direction if they struggle and I'll get a copy to them.

The Great British Bookshop gives me the most royalties for the Quartz Storm paperback, and if it's your first order from them, there's discount codes to be had!

UK writers, don't forget you have to send an electronic *and* hard copy of your book to the British Library legal deposit office!

I've just started reading Beating Eggs and Butter. It's not just a recipe book, it explains all the trial and error Mike did to figure out what are the best vegan substitutes for different types of baking so you understand why he recommends the ingredients he does. Looking forward to some baking!

A white book cover with a mixer attachment pictured. Across the lines of the beater is the title beating eggs and butter, how to become a vegan badger. Against a pink background on white text, it says the vegan cake bible. The author is Mike sweetman.

On pre-order, our very Welsh Kickstarter project. They Are Still Here features stories of resistance and resilience in Welsh community, with a little help from our supernatural friends. wizardstowerpress.co...

The cover of They Are Still Here (Mae Nhw Yma O Hyd).

The image is of the sorceror, Gwydion, surrounded by wild animals (wolf, boar, deer) in a Celtic knotwork frame. Gwydion's hat is crowned with antlers. He carries an axe in his right hand and an oak twig in his left.

#FantasyIndiesSpooktober day 5 - Safiya would want to wear a Halloween costume that she could move in and that gave her the opportunity to carry her dagger. So probably a pirate!

Fantasy Indies spooktober prompt. Day 5 is what would your MC wear to a Halloween party?
