No blueprint. Filmed by West German television in November 1970 in Soest, this 84-minute document captures CAN still exploring the possibilities of a sound that didn’t quite resemble anything else.

The Wicker Man (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

aquariumdrunkard.com/2026/10/09/t...

Part folk record, part pagan fever dream, The Wicker Man’s soundtrack feels like stumbling upon something unearthed rather than recorded. Simultaneously ancient and entirely invented . . .

Hawkwind: Do Not Panic (BBC Documentary)

A proper trip into the mothership. This 2007 doc traces the band from the Ladbroke Grove underground through Space Ritual, Lemmy’s tenure, and their collision of rock, psychedelia, sci-fi and counterculture.

Pink Floyd :: Childhood’s End – The Soundtracks

aquariumdrunkard.com/2015/11/11/p...

Pink Floyd’s film work is a fascinating, overlooked thread in their early history. Away from the expectations of the “Pink Floyd” sound, they could be stranger, darker, looser—and often more interesting.

Emily A. Sprague :: The Aquarium Drunkard Interview

Teenage Fanclub remain one of the great arguments against “reinvention.” Their 13th LP, Do Not Dare To Dream, finds the Scottish lifers leaning further into acoustic textures w/out sacrificing an ounce. of their patented jangle, lift, or devastating harmonies.
