In economics we call this failure. In politics its called object failure and omnishambles. PREFU stands for Pre Election Fiscal Update and is given before each of our elections. You can work out who was in power for each PREFU yourself
In Te Tairāwhiti Gisborne and it was jobs jobs jobs that kept coming up. Our beautiful, equitable future ahead can *not only* centre our young people - but secure decent, meaningful jobs that build a country where care for each other and te taiao is simply how we work - for all of us 🌏✊️

Yeah naaaaaa ☠️☠️ Kiwis don't want a Govt that is so out of touch they think they can continue to exploit and pillage our only ocean for a quick buck for industry till our ecosystems are functionally screwed. Drink. Swim. Fish. Let's prioritise the health of te taiao our environment for all of us ✊️
Tākaka on form ❤️🔥❤️🔥 and ready for a Green-led Government who has the plans and the political will to prioritise affordable lives, healthy nature and a democratic and honest politics that operates for ALL of us, not just the wealthy few.
Absolute honour to recieve "Rethinking Health" by Doctors and Poets Art Nahill and Glen Colquhoun. It shouldn't be too much to place care for our people and care for te taiao at the heart of decision making. Nov 7= opportunity to renew - with the voices and mātauranga of our people at the centre ✊️
Imagine claiming to be the Government that will 'fix the economy', and then undermining and exploiting te taiao which is the actual backbone of our economy - along with the reputation and trade deals we rely on - and thinking that's progress ☠️☠️🤡🤡 Luxon = Flubbing the basics and screwing our future.
This is exactly my point. The greens are the only adults in the room
It's election season in Porirua with the by-election for Porirua city council with our legendary high school teacher Zac Painting in the running 👏👏 Incredible mahi of course demands incredible kai and that's exactly what our phenomenal volunteers delivered 🥹😋
Epic day with these legends on the doors around Rānui and Cannons Creek in Porirua. The talk was all about affordable lives (especially Kiwimart and Kiwipower), healthy nature (estuary health and protecting conservation land) and politics for the people (capping donations and rules on lobbying) ✊️
The Government is consistently play kiwis for chumps. They make laws that benefit big polluters and fossil fuel corporates who make record profits while the rest of us pick up the tab with more polluted drinking water and rivers and beaches we can't swim in. It's time to take the power back ✊️🌏
In the bleakness of Government's final week of parliament, where polluters and profiteers who benefit from destroying or exploiting te taiao write the rules - there was a shining light in the form of the Takaka community petition to expand Kahurangi national park to protect Te Waikoropupu Springs 🌏✊️

Shoutout to all the rural communities and leading farmers who are getting in touch to say how they disagree with the Government's bills that remove, weaken or delay environmental protections and who don't feel represented by Big Ag lobby groups or served by this Govt. We stand with you ✊️

More environmental vandalism with last minute changes that remove the ability for councils to set rules that would protect marine biodiversity ☠️☠️ It is beyond time for NZ to stop letting down ourselves and the rest of our Pacific neighbours in the pitiful protection of less than 1% of our ocean.
In this Coal-alition Government's last gasp at power they are embedding climate denialism and environmental destruction into our core laws that are meant to protect the health of our people and te taiao environment ☠️☠️
Ngā mihi nui to Forest&Bird welly branch for organising a picnic at parliament to tautoko the epic 35,000 strong march in Tāmaki Makaurau ✊️ The Green Party will ensure that conservation land is managed for nature, not for profit, and that there are strong limits on pollution or environmental harm.
