I reminded folks that my office addressed Alaska’s rape crisis by raising the age of consent 16 to 18. I closed by highlighting my work with the municipality & YMCA to get the Bettye David East High School Swimming Pool re-opened. AK has the highest drowning rate: all chicken must learn to swim.

I spoke about serving as the co-chair of the Freshmen Caucus, keeping my promise to work on housing & homelessness (2 bills in law: IDs for everyone released from incarceration & optional property tax exemptions to make housing more affordable).

A great event in the heart of the U-Med last night at the Alaska Airlines Center on the UAA campus. A chance to meet all the Anchorage state legislature candidates — I heard from folks I hadn’t heard from before! Big thanks to Chugach Electric, Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, AEDC, & UAA for hosting.
