Up on the ridge purple thistles
snare a silver thread of starlight
and try, until dawn,
to shake it free.

many children were told and some believed that when the war was over
the emperor would wipe away their tears
with his own hand.

A poem on a blue background with a pink Pegasus symbol and the name Adrienne Su in pink. Poem text:
Keenly aware she was being predictable,
she admitted to finding Theseus irresistible
and killed off her theories, the desire to be equal.

It went against everything she’d ever professed.
She had become one more idiotic princess
wanting to be overpowered, wanting to be undressed.

Hella! Dark mode on the poem site!

A screenshot of the recently rebranded and redone poetry foundation website. which now features dark mode for the first time. There’s some weird red things behind a square that says poems and then underneath that it says explore poems. It’s not like… great. But hey, dark mode. Which maybe you don’t care about?
