Some kind of doctor. Will work for plants. And books. And wine.
@kjaycee.bsky.socialYeah, the wild ones tend to share the road, out of necessity.
@kjaycee.bsky.socialSlaughterhouse Five Below
@kjaycee.bsky.socialSpeaking of squamata, I took a hike on the Ice Age Trail today and met a nice little snake.
@kjaycee.bsky.socialSaw something on social media about female-coded language being used to insult people, and it triggered a memory of some guy I knew in high school telling me I ran like a girl. Me and the girls I was sitting with were like “um, yeah?” I knew he was trying to insult me but wow. How stupid.
@kjaycee.bsky.socialSticking with Tales from the Void for now, which are apparently all dramatizations of creepypasta from the No Sleep reddit. #Movie40 was Episode 2, "Fixed Frequency". Baby monitors! The horror! #61MoviesOfHalloween
@kjaycee.bsky.socialI apparently counted two movies as Movie 17 which means this next one is actually #Movie39 not #Movie38. Another episode of yet another anthology show that I've never before heard of! Tales from the Void's first episode "Into the Unknown". #61MoviesOfHalloween
@kjaycee.bsky.socialThe Committee says that as long as it’s clear she knew she was listing favorite movies then it is the implied equivalent of her saying “these are favorites”. #61MoviesOfHalloween
@kjaycee.bsky.socialIt’s like two concepts.
@kjaycee.bsky.socialI am keen to inform you, autocorrect, that not all white houses are White Houses. Or White House’s, for that matter.
@kjaycee.bsky.social@kjaycee.bsky.socialWell, in positive news, even though there is a definite whiff of the derivative(s) in the Smile movies, they are overall very enjoyable films. The second one in particular has a scene past the halfway mark that is unhinged in the most delightful way. #Movie37 #61MoviesOfHalloween
@kjaycee.bsky.socialAre we talking like a Great Value Torgo, or a Good & Gather Torgo? #61MoviesOfHalloween
@kjaycee.bsky.socialGetting in the moooooooood… #61MoviesOfHalloween
@kjaycee.bsky.socialGo Brewers!
@kjaycee.bsky.socialI'll see your giant bugs and raise you something even scarier and that is people staring at you and smiling. #Movie36 and the first of my last pair of Original-Sequels movies (and still new to me!) is Smile. #61MoviesOfHalloween
@kjaycee.bsky.socialAlthough I think I like some of the messaging of X more. But anyway, I need a palate cleanser and a creature feature so #Movie35 is 2026's Thrash. Hurricanes! Storm surge! Hungry sharks! Sure we've seen it before but have we- yeah, honestly we have. #61MoviesOfHalloween @republicandalek.bsky.social
@kjaycee.bsky.socialReally, what could go right with that? It's got "terrible idea" written aaaaaalllll over it. And speaking of terrible ideas, I've finished Pearl so that checks another set of Original/Sequel films, still all new to me. And tbf, I did like Pearl more than I liked X. #Movie34 #61MoviesOfHalloween
@kjaycee.bsky.socialI don’t know but I think my left hip does.
@kjaycee.bsky.socialFFS, in-game ads, enough with the choose-your-own-adventure-style anime* porn. *Or is it AI?
@kjaycee.bsky.socialDoes a prequel, which was technically filmed simultaneously with the film that was released first, qualify as a sequel under the rules?
It also sets up an interesting question for me, having now watched X: what have I done??
