The RIA, together with the @nationalmons.bsky.social, and a broad group of stakeholders across Ireland are collaborating with the Region of Normandy and other participating territories to mark 2027 as European Year of the Normans.
Applications are now open for the Year of the Normans research scheme.
The grant provides funding for new research associated with the history of Norman Ireland.

Titled Flashes from the Dark, the programme explores the remarkable story of Jamaican poet Ferdinand Levy. The programme examines his contribution to Irish literature and his experience of seeing Dublin with a fresh pair of eyes.
