@matthewdowsmith.bsky.socialReposted by @daniwilliams.bsky.socialNever forget that they had to spend trillions of dollars, build massive data centers, consume millions of galloons of water and insane amounts of electricity, just to kind of do what you can do better with your imagination and a cup of coffee. That's how envious they are of what you can do.

@daniwilliams.bsky.socialAnother day, another rhino. This one is in watercolour pencils and Iām much happier with it than the Neocolor sketch.
#sketchbook #illustrator
@daniwilliams.bsky.socialYep! These are Neocolors, so much more than just crayons. Some people make incredible artwork with them. Iāve never really got to grips with them myself but I do love them and the way they force me to loosen up.
@daniwilliams.bsky.socialIām sketching rhinos today for a very lovely book project, and while the finished artwork will be done digitally, I couldnāt resist a quick Neocolor scribble of the subject.
@daniwilliams.bsky.socialItās the 5th anniversary of #kidlitartpostcard day! I didnāt realise when I decided to post this pic that the theme this month is You As A Kid, but it works as this illustration was from my Substack post about my teenage encounters with eels.
