fun fact: if you’re trying to send someone a bluesky post but the account has the “hide post to signed out users” setting enabled, you can replace “bsky” with “aturi” in the URL and it will bypass the gate completely

sending people bluesky posts via @aturi.to’s Universal Atmosphere Links not only shows all content to signed out users in message/link previews, it also lets the recipient choose which bluesky client they want to open the link

hmm that is odd, can you check your extension to see if it has the latest update applied? should be Aturi 0.1.9 if it is the current version, can you go to the extesion's settings, dev page, and send the user agent info? Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:155.0) Firefox/155.0

A new version of the @aturi.to/waypoints package is out (v0.1.4), featuring optional brand icons and support for compose intent across clients that have it. What does this mean? You can provide links that open in a user's preferred Bluesky client that will open the post composer with prefilled text.

Aturi Extension v0.1.9 is rolling out now...

Auto-redirect between Bluesky clients is now much more reliable and customizable. It understands context better to ensure that you don't get redirected away from a non-default client that you're intentionally trying to view.

Thanks to @aturi.to's waypoints package, it was very easy to get a list of clients to display in this popover that I now have on my website. Instead of opening the composer only in Bluesky, you can now click to write a message in an app of your choosing!

The @bsky38.com experience integrates the Aturi Waypoints package to let users choose which Bluesky client they want to open a profile in! The Waypoints package now also comes with action intent support built-in for clients that support it.

Finally was able to sit down and try this out. I had a few records floating around in my repo from testing sites that I wanted to remove. The UI of Aturi made it VERY easy to do so. Definitely something to keep bookmarked.

Many mobile apps, chat based AI setups, etc do not handle traversing the full breadth of the Atmosphere easily for a variety of reasons. Some don’t even have full network access. Some have other security restrictions or limitations. This isn’t hard to understand.

This isn’t for you or your needs, and that’s okay. An MCP like this gives structured and contextual access to the Atmosphere for newer folks and those operating in AI interfaces that lack the capabilities of a coding setup.
