Guns are the #1 killer of kids, teens, and college-aged people in the United States, and our lawmakers fail us every day that they refuse to act. On November 3, we’ll kick them out of office.

Every family deserves safety in their community. We join Oscar’s loved ones and his community in calling for full, transparent investigation into the shooting, with answers and accountability.
Oscar Belgal, 28, was shot in the neck by federal agents during a targeted operation in New York City while his 5-year-old son was in the car. Though the child was not physically injured, he will carry the trauma of this experience for a lifetime.
The voices of the “mass shooting generation” need to be heard on Election Day. Together, we’ll kick gun extremists who prioritize gun industry profits over our lives OUT of office.

Seventeen-year-old Chris Wilson Jr. committed to play Division 1 football for West Virginia University next year. Now, he will never get that chance due to preventable gun violence. We are sick and tired of this crisis stealing our dreams, our futures, our lives.
Our vote is our voice, and on November 3, we’ll make sure our voices cannot be ignored. Make your plan to vote by texting PLAN to 644-33 or click here: gunsensevoter.org/make-a-plan/

We deserve SAFETY at our athletic events, NOT gun violence.
On December 2, the Supreme Court will hear oral argument in Viramontes v. Cook County to decide the constitutionality of state assault weapons bans. The bans have been upheld by the vast majority of federal courts, and the Supreme Court must follow suit. Our communities’ safety depends on it.

“When anyone speaks out, people call it performative. This is real-life stuff that has drastically impacted people’s lives, so I will continue to use social media to meet people where they are. If we can use platforms for awareness and change, use it!” - Bo, NM Students Demand Action content creator
At least two people were shot and killed and 25 others were taken to the hospital after shots rang out at a homecoming block party in Vienna, GA. About 50 shots were reportedly fired in two locations where over 1,000 people were gathered. We don't deserve to live or die like this.
Disarm abusers. Protect survivors. Here’s eight ways you can raise awareness about domestic gun violence during Domestic Violence Awareness Month:
Trump dismissed domestic violence and called it a “lesser” crime in the past. If that were the case, over 70 women wouldn't be dying every month at the hands of an abuser. But they are. Instead of emboldening abusers and undermining survivors, we need to invest in real solutions that keep us safe.
“Social media changed the way movements engage audiences, making it so much easier to mobilize people across the country. It allows people to find causes and organizations they care about and get involved, which pushes the movement forward.” - Charles, MO Students Demand Action content creator

Over 70 — that’s how many women are shot and killed by an intimate partner every month. These are our mothers, sisters, grandmothers, and best friends stolen because guns make domestic violence more deadly. Join us this Domestic Violence Awareness Month as we raise awareness and share solutions.
