Thank you

NYC ACC kills thousands of healthy & adoptable companion animals every year. Our goal is to stop these needless deaths & better support the well-being of animals in our shelter system. @zoienyc.bsky.social @ckinser.bsky.social #reformNYCACC #NoKillNYC
Thank you
No, she isn’t on BlueSky, just sent photo in previous reply

You’re welcome. Will be posting info about the Mayor’s Office of Animal Welfare later today.

THE MORE YOU KNOW
Mayor Mamdani has not taken a position on NYCACC or the killing of companion animals there
His new Director of the Mayor’s Office of Animal Welfare does NOT support making ACC a No-Kill shelter
Our goal? Expose cruelty, change minds, compel action
Have not heard of this. It’s time for bed now, but definitely going to check this out tomorrow morning!
Thank you Rose.
We really appreciate all the people who reposted. It was by far the most we ever had. It may take more time than we want, we all want, but we will do this with the help of a community of people who care.
Right! They want our money; they need to hear us
And there are legions of people who wont quit.
We’re working toward big and at city hall. It’s going to take much longer than we want, but we believe we can get there…even in this world
The ghost bikes have been effective. It’s a really good thought. Need to think about it, but there definitely could be a way to get the count out there in many places where people would notice For the record, through September ACC has killed 623 dogs and 806 cats
Correct, its deadly
That’s true. In NYC most people don’t know about the high kill rate at ACC. When animals are surrendered, they have to sign something saying they may be killed. At least some of them surely think that won’t happen to my good dog or cat? I don’t know.
We have; the press doesn’t seem to care. Just one more thing we need to change.
That would be great if it works for you. Feel free to Dm with any questions, etc
Thank you. For the record there were five!!! Ha!
Yours is a big account, the challenge I think is to reach New Yorkers. Even w/a small crew, talking to neighbors & passersby is worth it. They live here; they see dogs every day on their “walk around the block.” Many dont know so many are killed. NYCACC has gaslighted ppl 2 think they’re No Kill.
