We always seem to care when it’s too late, when war, wildfires, floods or disasters reach our own doorstep. We act as though the West is somehow untouchable. It isn’t. The climate crisis does not recognize wealth or politics. Mother Nature knows no borders.

Sometimes I wish I could just notice nothing and feel nothing. Somehow I’m the outcast for caring “too much” about what’s happening on the other side of the world. But it’s still OUR world. Palestinians are still human beings. Their suffering matters. We are all connected. Humanity has no borders..

Canada and the U.S. have spent decades building free trade, yet here we are paying the price for Trump’s reckless tariffs. Groceries, gas, trade, the ripple effects reach far beyond America. We still have until 2029. How much more damage can one administration do at home and around the world?
