The speed at which Polo reached CAT5 status yesterday was simply jaw dropping! Hawaii is also threatened again by TD-15E which will soon become Nolo. 🧪

Many people have asked over the years about the cone of uncertainty that NHC issues when a tropical storm or hurricane threatens. This is the first time that I know of that the wind radii forecast has been used to help explain the cone. Let me know your thoughts. Ty. 🧪

Hawaii Alert 🚨 A FLASH FLOOD WARNING WITH CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE TAG has been issued for the entire island of O’ahu until at least 7am HST. Rain is falling at a rate of 1-3 inches per hour. Local streams are flowing at near or exceeding record levels. 🧪‼️

Hawaii Alert: There is an area of intense rainfall headed for O’ahu including Honolulu. Prepare for widespread flooding and listen to your local NWS officials and trusted broadcast meteorologists. This could be a high impact event unfolding in the next several hours. 🧪‼️ @elprager.bsky.social
