This is a must-win race against MAGA with so much on the line. Join us again in Michigan for the Weekend of October 30th, for a final push to get out the vote for Abdul! Lodging and travel funds are available!

Hundreds of Michigan Jews who support Abdul have been making their voices heard under the banner of Michigan Jews for Democracy. On IfNotNow Movement’s recent National Call, Michigan Jewish leaders asked for our help knocking doors and speaking with Jewish voters. So that’s what we’ve been doing!

Abdul is a shared safety champion with a long track record of standing up for everyone. MAGA, AIPAC, war profiteering billionaires, and establishment Jewish institutions are spreading Islamophobic narratives about Abdul and telling the world that MI Jews don’t support him, but that’s just not true.

It was a powerful weekend of Jewish community, solidarity, meaningful conversations, and fighting for democracy and shared safety — for Palestinians, Israelis, our neighbors, and ourselves.

Daniel reflects on our time in Tel Arad, one of Israel’s many unrecognized Bedouin villages in the Negev/Naqab Desert that face complete erasure. Today, many residents of Tel Arad live in tents and mobile structures atop the ruins of their old homes.

“In the Jewish community that I grew up with, there was a very strong narrative regarding Israel. I never really heard much about Palestinians at all, it’s like they didn’t really exist in that narrative.”

Meet the Delegation: Daniel, IfNotNow Member from DC “I came on the Shared Safety Delegation because I wanted to see a whole new perspective of what Palestinian life is like under occupation.

In 2018, my friend Ady Barkan — the bravest person I’ve ever known — was traveling across the U.S. Despite his rapidly advancing ALS, he was fighting so fiercely for healthcare for every American.

On that trip, he introduced me to @abdulelsayed.bsky.social, who was running for governor of Michigan.

“Being able to show that Jews and Muslims are working together for everybody's humanity, and that includes freedom and dignity and safety for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, is a really important role we're playing.”

Last week, we held our first-ever virtual fundraiser to support @abdulelsayed.bsky.social for Senate!

“I think it matters,” @bradlander.bsky.social shared while sitting in his sukkah, “the people we convince to vote for and contribute to Abdul, he's gotta win. But it also matters to do it Jewishly…

There is so much work yet to do as we fight to reach through in all our grief, rage, confusion, sorrow, and fear. We hold every single universe destroyed as we shout through our tears, “Not another bomb.” May we make it so.
