@timerival.netI made this new track today, it's sort of a heavy, pulsating IDM track with a bunch of electronic instruments and some samples from my latest "Stretch Textures" sample pack.
@timerival.netIt's relative, not sure how to train for perfect pitch. It's more about recognizing intervals, chords, chord progressions, rhythms, sight reading, melodies, etc. I learned most of this stuff in college and forgot a lot of it so I needed a refresh.
@timerival.netHey look at that, been practicing ear training all year on ToneGym and I got, what I assume, is their highest accolade, along with some useless currency!

Tools:
Marabu Aquapen Graphic Watercolor markers (& water)
Sort of a derpy shrek. My first time using watercolor markers. They don't behave the way I would have expected.
@cornwarning.comReposted by @timerival.netFrom @timerival.net I was listening to this today along with Lusine. There's some affinity between them, and also with Jan Jelinek. Not in sharing a particular soundset or production, but in attitude. Gentle, relaxing, but with a lot going on.

@thequietus.comReposted by @timerival.net'One of Reich's most radical examples of minimalist music, Clapping Music is only surpassed by La Monte Young’s epically extended drone pieces, and John Cage’s 4’ 33” in terms of reduction of instrumental content'
