Thank you!
It is! That was a really enjoyable commission. There’s a credit on the back cover. Out in November!
Leonardo DiCaprio
Thanks!
Thanks! I’ll have a listen.
Beautiful work. I really hope there’s a chance they’ll all turn up in a shop somehow and find their way back to you. Such an awful thing to happen.
I promise I won't spam the feed with my stolen art, but I wanted to share this one because I enjoyed painting it. I used black watercolors on toned paper, something I hadn't tried before. (There is a Leyendecker watercolor that made me want to try this combo of materials) "Nocturne"
Thank you!
I must have one somewhere. When I went on holiday with my parents to Spain I used to swap drawings of John Lennon for bottles of chocolate milk in the cafes we went to. I remember seeing one pinned up behind a bar. I wonder if any remain 40 years on.
Thank you! Love Serge Clerc!
Thank you!
I think I was 20 when she first appeared and she was just 22/23. I wasn’t expecting her to look so young after hearing the records. I can remember vividly hearing Dress and Sheela Na Gig for the first time.
Thanks! Possibly the first likeness I ever drew was Lennon’s when I was a child.
That’s no problem. I can do a one off print for you. Email me via the contact option on my shop and I’ll sort it out for you.
He’s very good!
Do you know Thorsten Hasenkamm’s work? He draws them all the time. Insanity!
I like the rawness of the first two. I know what you mean about the loud/quiet. I’ve accidentally turned it up to deafening volume a few times during the quiet bits.
Haha! I like a challenge.
Thanks! I love the sound of her early records. So much energy. Sheela Na Gig stopped me in my tracks first time I heard it.
I love that album!
