Thoughts on altstream. It's good to see a Twitch alternative, but the 5k bitrate limit is... not great, especially for a 1200p ultrawide streamer like me. It'll be fine for visual novels and coding streams, but looks really bad for FFXIV. I can drop to 30fps there and it's tolerable, I guess

It was more things like the distance objects move between frames. If you're skipping every other frame then it's consistent, at 144fps then sometimes it will skip 3 frames and then things move a greater distance. I don't notice the difference between 120 and 144, but I do notice things like this

Yes but you can do fun resolutions like 2128x976 and get a 2K encode. It's a really stupid workaround, but it does work

It really is (there's a reason I ran a plain black background for this) but it's a very good game. This game, and Everhood, are why I'm so anal about my encoding. Some fights in Everhood, using 1080p H.264, and TEB will spike to 20meg on their own and cause Twitch to disconnect you!
