New users to Listifications will now receive a welcome message. Hoping that it explains what we do well. Let us know if anything is unclear.

Welcome direct message from Listifications: "Thank you for following @listifications.app! We will send you a DM as soon as you are added to a list or get blocked by another user. Note that sometimes messages may be delayed, in some cases up to 3 days if they are considered spammy. To receive only notifications for lists, follow @unsub.blocks.listifications.app People create lists and block accounts for various reasons, in some cases these actions are automated, you should never harass anyone that has blocked you or added you to a list. Instead report any abusive lists by hitting the "Report list" button and/or by messaging @safety.bsky.app. If you no longer wish to receive notifications from us, simply unfollow us."

Glad to hear that Bluesky are taking list harassment seriously.

Lists are a feature that allow users to create groups of accounts, for example, for curation. However, we’ve also seen lists be used for harassment.

A reminder that anyone can easily create accounts which impersonate others. Those accounts can create fake lists which spread lies and misinformation. Remember to be vigilant and not immediately trust anyone claiming to represent us or be partnered with us.

The past week has seen an increase in the creation of spammy lists. We have taken the decision to delay sending notifications for these, just until we had a chance to implement a less disruptive way to deliver them. This is now done and you should start receiving them.
