Yesterday was an amazing day for me as a proud Morehouse Alum, the college of Rev. Dr. King. Receiving the Dreamers award from the Morehouse NYC alumni chapter meant the world to me.

Today, I joined the New York State Child Care Alignment Table (NYCAT) convening at the United Federation of Teachers headquarters. Supporting our child care workforce means ensuring families have quality care and providers receive fair wages.

Our children are our future, and our families deserve support. No parent should have to choose between work, a doctor’s appointment, or caring for their child. Thank you Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Governor Kathy Hochul for investing in child care and our children’s future.

10,000 Childcare vouchers will have a tremendous impact on our city and most importantly the children of our city.

The $200 energy rebate helps after the bill arrives; it doesn’t show whether NY lowers the underlying rate. Is the next proposal a larger credit or a rate cut?

I’m on the energy committee and I will say everything is on the table! I’m open to ideas… I’m looking at tax credits for geo-thermal and to improve solar credits.

Thank you to everyone that volunteered for our Clean Up The Bronx Day community cleanup. It was awesome to have the kids from my baseball league where I coach volunteer after their games to clean up Foster Park. Community engagement is key for a better NY!

Are you a veteran? Do you care about policies impacting Veterans? If Yes please come to our Veteran Summit on Oct 15th Intrepid Museum.
