I know well that Spotify is not everyone's cup of tea, but if anyone would like to share and/or click this Spotify link, it would help @lostguests.bsky.social/me when Endlessly On The Way lands on evil streaming platforms later this month!

It's nice! I keep thinking "does this run a little AOR for my tastes?" and then just keep happily listening.
I just realised I didnโt reply to this! Intrigued to think of a few cracks and holes in your pop-coverage. Are you really not familiar with Jonathan Richman? Am quite sure youโd love
Picked this up on a whim today & have really enjoyed it; Peter Schrank is a Swiss political cartoonist and a songwriter. And this is a delicate, beautifully warm folk-pop LP which across it's 6 tracks reminds me of Nick Lowe, late Bob, Kevin Ayers. It even goes a bit bossa-nova AOR in the middle.
Anyone else unable to ignore the similarity between 'Falling Through My Hands' on that ropey new Beck LP and Dinosaur's Jr's 'Get Me'? My wife keeps playing the former and I keep running through thinking she's playing the latter!
Another bucolic folk Bandcamp find; I love this, by Ady Johnson - Under Gainsborough Skies is a gorgeous sounding, faintly groovy 70s folk concoction with a ton of absolutely lovely melodies. For fans of John Martyn, Nick Drake and at times, the Canterbury crowd. Delightful stuff.

Marillion looking a little bit overpriced there
LOST GUESTS ORIGIN STORY During his Easter break this year, Alistair James made the brilliant ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ while on holiday in North-West Scotland. Back in Brighton, Jonathan became bewitched by its instinctive, field-recorded, open quality. It lodged in his head. 1/4
Huge thanks to Tim at Daggerzine @timdaggerboy.bsky.social for the sweet review of Underachievers by @shopfiresmusic.bsky.social โWow, this new Shopfires single is a really beautiful thing with a great video to boot โ
Hello and welcome to A-POP!, your twice weekly guide to the best new music that's caught my ear in the past few days. 9 debuts in tonight's show so why not join us in the Discord chat and let us know what you think? Just go to noiseboxradio.com/discord and talk music!
Here's the video to the 2nd track on @lostguests.bsky.social's Endlessly On The Way. The Lost Guests have still not been located, incidentally, so pls continue to check sheds, outbuildings etc. Rumour has it they're on permanent holiday, which their paymasters will not tolerate. This is Compass Call
Great! What a song that was! Thatโs a nice piece, great work! Gonna watch the video again now!
Wrote a while ago about Streets of Your Town. arcticreviews.co.uk/2020/07/20/1...
Alistair is SUCH a great songwriter! I tried to contribute to this one but there was absolutely no point, so I didnโt!
In the spirit of full disclosure, we have sold 18 & have 12 copies of this left. Let me know if you want one but your purse strings are knotted shut & donโt allow you to buy one! Otherwiseโฆ.
Exactly what went through my head!
Nothing new here, really, but this band is the best band weโve ever had, and so delightful as always to see them written about. McLennan/Forster/Morrison still my dream pop groop trio.
