My best advice for talking climate with anyone.
☀️ Know your audience: topic, tone, timing.
☀️ Meet people where they are. Health, sports, kids outside.
☀️ Simplify, skip the jargon.
☀️ Don't be afraid.

The @unep.org report 'Limiting Overshoot' is out.
It's an important one.
-Report puts best-case scenario peak temperature rise at 1.8°C; others suggest over 2°C
-Above 1.5°C, climate impacts and risks of tipping points intensify with every fraction of a degree

Take a look at the dewpoint, which is the measure of moisture in the atmosphere.
60s = you can feel the thickness in the air
70s = tropical
79 in New Jersey is gross, pushing the feels like temperature 20 degrees higher!
Note: this is not an official reading.
