Poems on Toast by @attielime.bsky.social is a joyful and wonderfully varied collection of poetry. It's full of wit and humour, while also tackling some deeper emotions. Personal favourites include Reading is My Superpower, Did You Do It?, and Poetry. A great addition to the KS2 bookshelf.

It's purple and has a big wolf aka Fenrir on the cover, a big snake aka Jormungand, a 3 headed monster of unknown origin (well, I know, but I'm not telling), and a girl who's half dead with a bone hand. That's Hel. There's a quote from Jamie Smart saying YOU MUST READ THESE BOOKS and it has the publication month on: Out feb 27 (as in 2027 not the 27th Feb). The back cover has loki with a speech bubble saying, "Who are you calling a monster?" The blurb reads: Being banaished to Earth should mean Odin leaves me alone, but NO. Now he wants me to hunt down the giant wolf, Fenrir. (So what if he's technically my son?) This involves... 1) enduring Thor's company and his goats (there's a pic of the goat with lots of SFX to show it's smelly such as STINK and PONG. Loki is there saying eww) 2) Playing pranks on boring balder (we see Balder shaking his fist going LOKIIIIIII) 3) Eating many feast (we see Loki devouring a large turkey going nom nom. Then we see balder and Loki talking. Balder's saying, "And actually hunting for your monstrous offspring?" Loki is replying, "Monstrous? SO RUDE!" Because in this house we do not simply assume something that looks scary is a monster.
