Why the Kremlin was pro-Brexit and why it still matters even if 2016 meddling didn’t swing the result www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

New account for a friendly bunch of campaigners looking to expose the Brexit horrors (not hard) & campaigning to rejoin (- bit harder). Come and join us! Previously at @oxfordforeurope
I was on the telly.
People voted to leave the EU because they were fed up, often for reasons that had nothing to do with the EU. And there was no agreement on what Brexit would look like.
The country has moved on since 2016. Politicians need to catch up. @pimlicat.bsky.social on LBC
AI godfather Geoffrey Hinton branding Donald Trump a "corrupt, senile felon" who understands "almost nothing" about AI exposes dangerous political incompetence. Handing regulatory control over transformative tech to clueless demagogues risks chaos. Why trust populist ignorance? (1/2) 🤔 #FBR
the caption that tells you everything you need to know
Every time a Brexist denies Russian interference, ask them "do you believe that Russia intervenes in European politics?" If the answer is yes, then the follow-up is "and why do you conclude that they choose not to interfere in British politics?"
It has taken the UK a decade to begin to be honest about the stupidity & self harm of leaving the EU.
& perhaps our painful journey will remind others in the bloc of the purpose & benefits of European unity & the emptiness of petty nationalism.
Let’s hope so.
Neither the EU nor the UK can rely on Trump's America, but we can rely on each other. We need Europe, and Europe needs us. 🚨 "Europe – now outwardly disapproving of the US – is more open to closer cooperation with Brexit Britain than at any time since the Leave vote."
I feel I don’t say it enough: this is truly a fantastic, welcome, long overdue change in tone, and more than just a change in tone. Yes yes it’s still [waves hands expressively] but my God it has been a long 15 years so let’s be thankful we’re finally heading in the right direction on this.
Why on earth does this BBC piece on Burnham telling an interviewer the UK security services confirmed Russian interference in the Brexit referendum require a response from a pro Brexit pressure group? It's literally our Prime Minister telling us about election security. It's nothing to do with them.
some of us worked this out a decade ago but it’s refreshing to see a prime minister say it out loud

Plunder what? These ppl feed off ignorance & inequality, & don’t want this country to succeed.
As Kinnock points out - It’s the unpatriotic anti-EU parties who are the impediment to a quicker process, destroying our economy, undermining trust with our European partners & causing a drag on the process towards rejoining.
Poorer, more isolated and insecure, Brexit has done only harm to this country.
Britons would vote by nearly two to one to become part of the EU again in another referendum.

“Come all the way” back into the EU, the French finance minister tells Britain.. in an article in which he says how we must listen to young ppl.
UK’s future lies in the EU. Always has. Always will do. And never so clear as now.
With Parliament set to debate the UK rejoining the EU, making your voice heard directly to your MP is vital. Hiding behind old Brexit red lines won't repair our economy or international standing. Have you emailed your MP yet? Use the EM link 👇 #FBPE

Tory plan to rip up UK-EU food deal risks ‘huge uncertainty’
The Brexit lies are resurfacing. And going unchallenged by the UK's national radio.
