Michael Gove's girlfriend charged with possessing indecent images of children. Michael Gove was filmed off his head in the house of commons. Why is none of this ( there's probably lots more) plastered all over the media? He has friends in high places and he knows things.

Case in point: the film based on the same book as this is 2 hours and 32 minutes and feels like it needs at least 30 minutes cutting from it to make it work as a movie.

I love that they’ve given it an adorable cute LED screen face to attempt to anthropomorphise it. It makes it funnier as it gets smashed to bits by a train.

Is this an archived story from 1971?

Bluesky trending: 1. Russia reportedly arming Iran. 2. Trump strikes diesel deal with Russia.

It’s one of my favourite European cities, so have fun!

There are 3 record stores next door to each other to the north of the city on Ritterstrasse if I remember. Peter’s Brewhouse in the Altstadt worthy of a drink.

That’s a Proustian rush to the headphones we had when I was a kid. I’d spend hours with those clamped on listening to Sgt. Pepper or Oxygene.

All the Americans in my feed praying for salvation with the November mid-terms do not seem to be preparing for Trump & Co. to override or fix the results or declare martial law or something. And I really, really think they need to.

Listening to Rubber Soul again, and I feel that (including the single) Paul’s THREE anthems to gaslighting and denying female agency probably warrant as much scrutiny, if not more, than John’s Run For Your Life.

Someone better than me needs to come up with an open source logo for advertising AI-free art. Something that can be as ubiquitous as the old Parental Advisory stickers.

I think I heard on a podcast that in Viking times an army was defined as a group of men with swords that numbered more than 25 people. So all tales of a “vast horde” could be 40 guys, rather than the epic battles of Lord of the Rings.

Capitalism is seeing that things generally seem a lot better in Scandinavia and concluding the answer isn't higher taxes that pay for better education and healthcare, it's buying cosy blankets and candles.

Christ, could he just hurry up and burst? It’s all so tiring and dull.

A former colleague was at St Andrews when Harry and Kate went. Harry was at a house party over the road. Rather drunk, he decided to shine a laser pen at the party house. Seconds later a policeman with a machine gun knocked on the door and said “do that again we’ll drop you.”

Tickets for my London ICA gig are already 40% sold… and they only went on sale on Monday, and its not till May. So better get buying them quickly!

"AI will personalise everything to your tastes" ... but that's bad. I don't trust my own tastes, they're rubbish. That's why I need more talented people to make things for me that I realise I enjoy.

The maddening thing is that the BBC can, uniquely, offer the opposite of AI algorithmic recommendation. We can get that anywhere. It’s not what people want. What’s missing is expert, human, curation. Knowledgable people you trust *telling you* that something’s worth watching. That’s what the BBC has
