Student-led protests in France against underfunded schools have drawn hundreds of thousands of people. At the same time, France faces a growing debt crisis. In our spring 2026 survey, 85% of French adults said the economy is bad, a pessimism that has grown since 2022 across education levels.

In our new survey, we found that most Americans expect the Iran conflict to continue for at least another six months. In March, Americans were relatively optimistic the operation would end quickly: 43% said it would be over in six months or less.

Democratic voters are more engaged and motivated to vote this fall. 78% of voters who say they support their House district’s Democratic candidate in the midterms say it “really matters” which party wins control of Congress – 9 points higher than the share of Republican backers who say this.

In a 2025 survey, 56% of U.S. adults said they privately chatted about or shared online news in the week leading up to our survey. Publicly engaging is less common: 26% of U.S. adults said they had publicly posted, shared or commented about news in the prior week.

We analyzed over half a million social media posts from more than 6,000 influencers. Just over half of these posts talk about healthy living, including topics like fitness, nutrition and developing healthy habits.
