Hi – the page is technical because our volunteers need specific information, in order to fix issues. An alternative you can use is the users mailing list: wiki.documentfoundation.org/Users/Mailin...
That's risky – OpenOffice has "red" status due to many unfixed security problems, and is not recommended for production use: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_... (It's also had no major update since 2014.) Far safer to use one of the actively maintained and fixed successor projects...
You can find the version in LibreOffice > About in the menu. We want to help, but please remember that we're a volunteer-driven project with limited resources. Volunteers can only fix issues when they have lots of details about the setup (and steps to reproduce the issue). Thanks for understanding!

New in #LibreOffice 26.8: Relative font sizes – Calc cell styles can now use relative font sizes, making style management more flexible across large spreadsheets. wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes... #foss #opensource #freesoftware
Is there any reason you're still using OpenOffice? It has "red" risk status due to many unfixed security problems, and is strongly not recommended for production use: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_... – There are more actively maintained successor projects, still free and open source...
