I'm doing a full rewatch after a few years! definitely enjoying it

continuing my Person of Interest rewatch and "If-Then-Else", really is one of the television episodes of all time

I don't think it does the field good, in the long term, to elide line-level issues in reviews; & we fail to elevate talent if our analysis doesn't go deeper than the pitch.

Didn't even think twice before picking this up.

I hope you enjoy!

yes!

Ah, thank you! I’m glad to hear it

some really fun books in this Word Suitcase—and an article about psychedelic toads!

But the point of the books is not 'monarchy good' or 'monarchy sexy'. It's looking at what happens with characters engaging in a world where the divine right to rule is extremely true and real, and how everything else starts warping around that ideal.

The morals and ethics of our world don't exist in this space! Galeas is a very kind and good person who thinks divine rule is great, because she's literally never experienced anything else. (The fact that she's trapped in a divine right universe and unaware is in fact part of the series plot!)

Part of my goal with the prose in the Out of True books is making it feel like an old, dense fairytale. Valerin would never joke implying she's a hey mamas butch. No self-referential winks about witchy aesthetics. None of them are aware of their massive age gap relationships in a way that matters.

Oh nice! I do mention their school in that book, hah

It’s very centered in the city! If you’re not as much of a horror fan though, I also have a romantic suspense — Double Exposure — that’s centered on the Art Institute of Chicago
