I think Honda-san would've loved Go-Man. And we have that in common because I love it, too. Great book. GO BUY IT. WE NEED VOL 3.

The last thing I'll say, and the best compliment I can give is that I think this work embodies the spirit of Ishiro Honda in a way few Godzilla comics have. From sociopolitical issues, war, and latchkey kids. This takes the "Kaiju are too big for this world" quote and pulls at your heartstrings.

I also love the baddies (duh). And this volume has some great ones. Murder Hornet, Spigera, and even Robug Red (yes. I'm calling him a villain). It will be really interesting to see where this Hulk/Thunderbolt Ross dynamic goes with Go-Man and Robug Red. Also, the ending made me audibly gasp.

Ash is also a character I feel in my bones. Holding grudges without true reason, and an empathy for animals. Hamish does a really good job of portraying the "bully" character in a way that doesn't feel like treaded ground. It's a unique take.

I also relate to Grace immensely. I have always felt weak, powerless, and often envious of friends. But, too, also would never want to make those feelings known at risk of ruining a friendship. Her arc in this book is really, really well done.
