His infamous bother, the “crack smoking Toronto Mayor” Rob Ford, first popularized the lie about a #WarOnCars to divide urban/suburban voters and rage-farm.
Now his brother Doug ramps up the real #WarOnWalking, biking and transit, weakening the city and costing everyone money and lives. #UrbanTruth

Actually that is what the smaller swing gate is for: keeping it open for bikes/wheelchairs/amazon deliveries!!!
Yesterday we may have seen the beginning of something we've needed for a long time: Paris-style school streets gates to halt traffic outside schools. WATCH the entire short film at this Youtube link: youtu.be/ofjvhtq-4ek?...
THIS happened in NYC yesterday. And hopefully it is the start of seeing gates protecting the existing school streets or timed closures by places where students are playing. @openplans.org @nyc.streetsblog.org @nyc-dot.bsky.social @ppsplacemaking.bsky.social

Yes but that is classified as a private gate. Been there since around 2000 I believe. At least that is the first time I saw it there. We actually did a short film on that in the late 2000s saying "Why Can't We Do This Everywhere?" LOL! Too bad it took 20+ more years.
