So uh, oops, I might end up doing both 1st and 3rd stages 🫠 I'm thinking I'll start with early gens first, and maybe by the time I get around to later gens they'll have revealed the designs/more info for the gen 10 starters. Then I can do a full set >:O

But now that I'm actually in the process of designing them, I realized I'm getting a lot of ideas by designing the final stage character first, and working backward/simplifying the outfit down for the 1st stage. And if I've already designed the 3rd stage I might as well draw it right..............

I don't want to do both, because that's way too much work. Just doing the 1st stage, that's already 27 character designs. That's so many!! I considered a happy medium of "design the character based on the 1st stage, and their outfit on the final stage" but it felt like a mid compromise tbh
