And of course, I love to write! Am I any good is a different question! I certainly don’t ‘make’ money, but need the motivation of selling books to keep me going. Ah well. That’s me-and as for AI in writing-I had 8 books pirated in the Anthropic issue-I will get nothing as a UK author. NO to AI.

I am often ask how I manage it. Firstly I’m retired-that helps! I’ve always been driven, so sitting down and writing 2-3k from 7-12 most mornings works (I was a headteacher/principal) and the afternoons are for other stuff inc planning, walks n bikes! At that rate-I’m actually behind by a novella!

Reflecting on my writing this year after getting Guardian’s Gate ready for beta:
Breaker’s Ruin 125k, Mercy’s Gate 95k, Guardian’s Gate 108k, a 4k short and an 8k start to a fantasy book. That’s 340k words plus draft/editing of those plus Emperor’s Fall. 1/2 #amwriting #indieauthors

Hi, I’m not looking for beta readers at the moment but thanks for asking.

Just. Brain is frazzled! But it’s done and I can let it sit a while.

108k words, 1050 line edits, and Guardian’s Gate is off to the beta readers. I need to step away from it now and plan Bk3, Saviour’s Gate, and then have a day or two away from the writing. Feeling Good! #scifibooks #sciencefiction #amwriting

This was great fun to do and a chance to look at the nuances of my dark fantasy writing.

Impressed only scratches the surface. I loved my time with this one. A finger-to-the-trigger action story, if you will. Perfect for fans of sci-fi, aliens, military thrillers, and wickedly paced stories

This is my biggest epic fantasy launch yet, and the Kickstarter edition of the book is equipped with all kinds of extras that won’t be in the retail version. You can find the details on the campaign page here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/emm...
