Big Oil executives think they’re above the law – and we should all be madder than hell about it. @climateintegrity.org insideclimatenews.org/news/0510202...
We electrified our home over the last two decades. State leaders should make it easier for every American to do the same.
Because the tech works for everyone. What doesn’t work for everyone is the upfront price tag. That’s a problem policy can solve.

Washington State Cougar Steve Gleason led the second line parade in New Orleans this week. The best Washingtonian we could possibly lend to the Saints. Go Cougs! www.nola.com/multimedia/p...
As Boulder's attorney put it, this case isn't about emissions; it's about deception, and I'd add that it's about democracy.
Carved above the Court's entrance are the words "Equal justice under law." No one, and no company, is above the law. @climateintegrity.org

This week, I stood outside the Supreme Court as justices were hearing arguments in Suncor Energy v. Boulder. Oil companies that spent decades deceiving Americans about climate change are now asking the Court to bar cities and states from holding them accountable.
→ TX gets 37% of its electricity from clean energy.
→ WA's carbon market (now linked with CA's) has put more than $5B back into communities.
→ And Big Oil executives want to make sure no jury ever holds them accountable.

Trump promised to cut energy prices in half. Guess what? He lied. Voters won’t forget when they cast their ballots this November. 🗳️
Once again, Trump is giving away the future to China, where 50% of new cars are EVs.
Eliminating policies that encourage domestic EV manufacturing is like trying to win a race that we refuse to run. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
Demand for power is surging like we haven't seen in decades. Families are opening utility bills with dread. Solar, wind, and batteries are the answer to both problems, delivering more power for less money – faster than anything else on the table. Clean energy is cheap energy. That’s just the facts.
📈Coal is the most expensive power source in America 📊 92% of new U.S. generating capacity added last year was clean energy ☀️ Solar alone made up over half of it Clean energy is cheap energy.
The same corruption that allowed tobacco companies to buy political cover is playing out with coal—even as the math stopped making sense long ago.
But I am also not surprised that Brian Heywood and his special interest benefactors were too braindead to write a constitutionally compliant initiative.
Today, the Washington Supreme Court ruled I-2066 unconstitutional. Above all: This is a major victory for the health of Washingtonians, for our clean air and water, and for our utility bills—prevailing over the deception of corporate special interests and big polluters.
A despicable abdication of the EPA’s duty to the American people.
On the 25th anniversary of 9/11:
Apparently, for Trump and Republicans, "energy dominance" really means more money for them, higher energy costs for everyone else.
Most of America’s electricity grid, for the better part of a century, has been "renting" its power one fuel shipment at a time.
Clean energy resources are the closest thing the grid has to home ownership. Read my latest: www.jayinslee.com/p/clean-ener...
