@joeclowery.bsky.socialyes, injuries to allende and silvetti basically made suarez a must-start guy, but i do not care
@joeclowery.bsky.socialNot nearly enough has been said about Luis Suarez’s resurgence. After being benched during last year’s playoffs, he’s reclaimed a starting role for Inter Miami season and putting up a goal contribution every 90 minutes. Unreal, even at 39.
@joeclowery.bsky.socialMichael Bradley has reinvented Red Bull New York...again. It's working a treat.
I wrote about the new-look Red Bulls and pondered whether anybody near the top of the West is any good (outside of St. Louis City, of course).

@joeclowery.bsky.socialIt's wild that Ian James can't find a start at center back even when Sporting Kansas City have three more senior options unavailable. James, 18, is a talent. You'd think that being the worst team in MLS for most of the year would prompt the coaching staff to play him!
@joeclowery.bsky.socialCatch me on ESPN+ and CBS AZ 5 right now for Phoenix Rising vs. Las Vegas Lights 🚦 Huge game with major playoff implications in the USL Championship's Western Conference! 📺
@joeclowery.bsky.sociala big ol' thanks to @benwright.bsky.social for the graphic template
@joeclowery.bsky.socialBehold, my MLS 22 Under 22 ballot for this season. As always, a mixture of how good I think a player is right now and how good I think they'll become. Tell me why I'm wrong 👇
@joeclowery.bsky.socialCatch me on ESPN+ right now for a Big 12 clash between Arizona State vs. Iowa State! 📺 🌵
@joeclowery.bsky.socialOutside of a handful of youngsters seizing their USMNT opportunity, Gio Reyna was *the* big story from the team's fall camp 🇺🇸
Emerging as a leader and being tasked with multiple on-field roles, Reyna's stock is soaring.
@jfteotonio.bsky.socialReposted by @joeclowery.bsky.socialJ'ai pu parler à Wilfried Nancy cette semaine. L'ancien du #cfmtl et du Crew de Columbus « kiffe » sa « période de transition » actuelle.
Et je ne le sens pas fermé à l'idée de replonger en MLS sous peu...
Mon entrevue :
@joeclowery.bsky.socialNiko Tsakiris has made my jaw drop more than any other U.S. player in MLS — the left-footed No. 10 is ready for the USMNT 🇺🇸
I sat down to watch film of Tsakiris *with* Tsakiris to learn more about how the San Jose Earthquakes' star thinks about soccer.
@joeclowery.bsky.socialusmnt postgame show live now!
@joeclowery.bsky.socialpoch joining jesse marsch in his campaign against width
@joeclowery.bsky.socialthis is what i'd most enjoy seeing from the USMNT tonight
@joeclowery.bsky.socialgimme adri mehmeti and mathis albert in the starting lineup tonight and i'll be content
@joeclowery.bsky.socialJulian Hall is the first USMNTer in 20+ years to score in each of his first three games 🇺🇸
He's made his money doing hard, thankless running.
But the 18yo is more than just a poacher — Hall is flashing a more diverse skillset than he gets credit for.
@joeclowery.bsky.socialdid someone say gio revival
@joeclowery.bsky.socialCavan Sullivan's performance vs. Mexico sure felt like a landmark moment for the USMNT 🇺🇸
For my money, he was the best player on the field for either team.
He should also be the U.S.'s starting right winger moving forward. He's ready.
@joeclowery.bsky.socialCavan Sullivan was the best player on the field in USMNT/Mexico 🇺🇸🇲🇽
"He's relentless in the way that he presses," Tyler Adams said.
"Tremendous quality," Poch said.
