Has anyone else ever come across a Wild Strawberry flower looking quite like this? The serrated petal margin is certainly new to me!

#wildflowerhour @bsbibotany.bsky.social

A flower of Wild Strawberry, with five white petals around a domed yellow mound covered with pistils which is surrounded by spoon-shaped golden stamens. This flower has unusually serrate petals.

Varied our usual walk at Muir of Dinnet and found some different things. Serrated wintergreen (2 pics), few-flowered sedge & small nettle (previously with 1, 2 & 1 BSBI DDb records in their respective hectads). Surprisingly for such a well visited area there is still much to be discovered.
