Thanks Jo, you’re a star!
Let me know if you’d like directions Jo. I found the knotgrass and Carex extensa in good numbers today (saw them back in the summer too) but couldn’t find C.distans
Earlier in the year I found Bithynian Vetch and loads of Lesser Centaury there 😁
Marvellous, thanks Jo. Will record any others if I find any!
Have you got a grid ref or anything for this Jo? I live in Kessingland now 🤪
A Clouded Yellow that stopped still for once! By the bailey bridge at Southwold this morning @bc-suffolk.bsky.social
After a fair bit of searching we did manage to find Starred Agama in a couple of places on Lesvos. One of the things I particularly wanted to see.
Wall Brown is having a good year. 3rd generation now flying at Carlton Marshes SWT 😍 @bc-suffolk.bsky.social
A small selection of butterflies seen on my trip to Lesvos in the last 2 weeks - Cardinal, Chapman’s Blue, Freyer’s Grayling and Aegean Meadow Brown
A lovely little ‘flock’ of 3 Pale-bellied Brent Geese at Children’s Corner, Lowestoft this evening. Feeding actively in the surf just off the beach
Juvenile Red-footed Falcon in busy urban Lowestoft this late afternoon. Causing quite a stir with the rush-hour commuters!
Today’s Lowestoft drift migrants - Pied Flycatcher, Willow Warbler and Wheatears. Great to be out and about and not knowing what you might find around the next corner…
More drift migrants on the NE Suffolk coast today - Pied Flycatcher, Wheatear and a Wryneck (honestly!)
😂 mum’s the word!
The best I managed with my phone and Belinda’s sunglasses!
A couple of nice micro moths trapped in Kessingland last night - the nationally scarce Rosy Knot-horn (aka the rhubarb and custard moth!) and Saltmarsh Knot-horn
#teammoth @bc-suffolk.bsky.social
Better on the legs for sure 🤪😉
Which saved you a walk down to the power station! 🤪
Some marvellous moths trapped overnight in Kessingland - Dewick’s Plusia, Sallow Kitten, Pebble Prominent and Gold Spot. Also my 2nd Striped Hawkmoth of the week.
I wasn’t whizzing past on a bike 😂
