Hi, I’m a sighted alt text user! Here are some reasons I use it: - Slow Internet on an airplane - I’m over 40, I have no idea who that celebrity is - Bluesky broke images again - My vision sucks and that text is too small to read otherwise - Conveys further context and authorial intent

Engaging in the time-honored tradition of "lyrics that are kind of mostly readable and only covered up a lil some of the time, you get the point probs"

"Fifteen hundred years ago, everybody -knew- the Earth was the centre of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody -knew- the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet." "Imagine what you'll know tomorrow."

Worth reading the study itself. Fundamentally, if you give people an instant answer button, they'll just use it rather than actually learning anything, even if they don't realize that is what they are doing.

Yes.

*Cackling maniacally* My data is UNLIMITTEEDDDDDD (Fr though check your wifi)

Hi. Me @ you. What if we broke the cycle

Ideal tbh...

Here's my cheatsheet for how to spot generated 3D models. I focused on Tripo for this one. MCP use is moving too fast for me to be confident in the tells atm. I put it in the note, but don't harass people. Any of these 'tells' can also be intentional or accidental. Depends on the intended usecase.

Weird gender affirmations: Noticing that the printing on my shirt has started to crease vertically in the center because it folds between my tits

If you're gonna quote me then at least CREDIT me gosh (This is very true though)

Just like me fr fr

Brings a freaking SMILE to my face. This is just in 24 hours, the community is just getting STARTED.

Eeeeee thank youuuu

(if you know, you know)

Thank you for giving me the ability to truly go all out on this <3 This has been SO much fun to work on and refine
