@weirdystar.bsky.socialI really don't understand this, this also leads to people treating these "popular" fans like they are part of the cast and crew when they are not. we are all just fans in the end. I have also seen the comment "you are just trying to be (insert popular username here)" which is also rediculous.
@weirdystar.bsky.socialStill glad you like it!
@weirdystar.bsky.socialSketch commission for @ashimity.bsky.social Loved this one.

@weirdystar.bsky.socialYea they are not blameless. An easy way around this if they want to make con exclusives is to easily make a con exclusive stamped version and then make a non-stamped version to sell online for other fans who just want the card and don't care.
@weirdystar.bsky.socialI am prouder of my collection because I have not given any of my money to scalpers and I am going to keep it that way. Am I missing cards? Yes. Do I ever think I am going to get those cards? I can hope, but no. Will I ever break and buy from a scalper? Fuck no. Cut your losses and move on.
@weirdystar.bsky.socialA lot of people think they have no other choice. You have the choice to just cut your losses. Giving these people your money is just making the problem worse. You want it to get better, start by not giving the people that are the main problem what they want.
@weirdystar.bsky.socialTrue fans won't charge scalper prices for merch. True fans will try to help out a fellow fan get the merch that they want. Don't give your money to people that are just trying to screw over the fans for their own gain. They are scum and don't deserve your money.
@weirdystar.bsky.socialI find it sad when fans think they need to pay 10-20 times the price for a piece of merch just to get their hands on it. I managed to get my hands, well not in my hands yet but are on the way, 2 of the King of New York cards for less than half the price these scumbags are trying to sell one for.
@weirdystar.bsky.socialAgain, I am glad you like it π
@weirdystar.bsky.social A commission for @lecemarzakey.bsky.social of a scene from their fanfic. I had a lot of fun arting this one.
