seriously, it’s nearly 4 am — I woke up at 2 and haven’t been able to fall back to sleep. i fell asleep before midnight, but i have to work in 4 hours and man it’d be sick to uhh get more than maybe 3 hours of sleep…

i have flipped my mattress, changed the sheets, rearranged and rearranged and rearranged my pillows, got a new duvet, no tv, left the tv on… everything short of digging out the sage & cleansing the room (that’s next)… STILL. CANNOT. SLEEP. THROUGH. THE. NIGHT.

honestly i think a big factor in empathy burnout is this trend of ppl DEMANDING ur empathy by trauma dumping or expecting everyone to take their ‘triggers’ into account for everything — but im so pleased to tell u that u actually do have some power & control in ur life, babe
