I have three published books. Each explores our connection to the natural world in some way. One is part-memoir, one is a teaching resource book, and one is a non-fiction narrative. I don’t profess to being good at writing and it isn’t my career, I do it to share what I believe in and help others.

Three book covers sit horizontally along the centre of a square image. The background of the whole image is a pastel green. The books are as follows: left is called Bird Therapy and has a bright yellow cover, with birds floating in silhouette bottom left to top right. The middle book is called Inside/Outside and features a person looking right with trees and shrubs growing from their head. The book in the right is called Neurodivergent by Nature and has a silhouette oak tree with oak leaves in green around the cover.

Jersey Tiger new for garden in my last year of trapping in it. Didn’t expect this one. #norfolkmoths

This is for all the working class kids with SEND who grew up in social housing without a father, were shelved by the education system, didn’t go to university, dabbled in unsavoury things and got addicted to some, whose mental health hit rock bottom and were written off by most people. Solidarity.

Imagine if we lived in an alternate reality where we had an event called 'Birdfair' that promoted high carbon travel in a climate emergency, and everyone shared their pictures from the event, but there were no birds, just people promoting themselves.

Two new moths for the garden last night in Mere Wainscot and
Pempelia palumbella (Heather Knot-horn). Into the low 600’s in what will almost certainly be my last year trapping here. #norfolkmoths #teammoth

This Musk Beetle (Aromia moschata) landed on me in the college garden today. Not a Longhorn I’ve seen before, it was absolutely stunning.

Her memoir ‘I shat under a tree’ is nailed on for the 2027 Wainwright.

Couldn’t agree more. Please don’t delete my comment. Last time I commented about this on a well-known nature blog, it was deleted 😉
